On April 18, 2026, the 3rd International Academic Conference “Ukraine and the United States: Experience and Prospects for Cooperation” will take place, dedicated to the 250th anniversary of the United States of America. The conference will serve as a platform for scholarly discussion of the history, current state, and future prospects of Ukrainian–American relations, the global and regional dimensions of U.S. foreign policy, contemporary American society, and the role of the Ukrainian diaspora in the countries of the Americas.
The conference is co-organized by the Ukrainian Association for American Studies, the International American Studies Association (IASA), the Young Scientists’ Council of the Faculty of History at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, the initiative group “Wind of Changes,” the Educational Program “American Studies and European Studies (with Advanced Study of Foreign Languages),” the Department of Modern and Contemporary History of Foreign Countries at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, the Scientific Society for the History of Diplomacy and International Relations, and the Center for Latin American and Iberian Studies “Casa Iberoamericana.”
The working languages of the conference are Ukrainian and English. Scholars, diplomats, international relations experts, journalists, students, graduate students, representatives of public organizations, and all those interested in the conference themes are invited to participate. Participants’ papers will be published in the conference proceedings. The deadline for registration and submission of materials is April 10, 2026.
18 квітня 2026 року відбудеться ІІІ Міжнародна наукова конференція «Україна та Сполучені Штати Америки: досвід і перспективи співпраці», присвячена 250-й річниці Сполучених Штатів Америки. Захід стане платформою для фахового обговорення історії, сучасного стану та перспектив українсько-американських відносин, глобальних і регіональних вимірів зовнішньої політики США, особливостей сучасного американського суспільства, а також ролі української діаспори в країнах Америки.
Співорганізаторами конференції є Українська асоціація американістики, Міжнародна асоціація американістики (IASA), Рада молодих учених історичного факультету Київського національного університету імені Тараса Шевченка, ініціативна група «Wind of Changes», освітня програма «Американістика та європейські студії (з поглибленим вивченням іноземних мов)», кафедра нової та новітньої історії зарубіжних країн КНУ імені Тараса Шевченка, Наукове товариство історії дипломатії та міжнародних відносин, а також Центр латиноамериканських та іберійських студій «Casa Iberoamericana».
Робочі мови конференції — українська та англійська. До участі запрошуються науковці, дипломати, експерти з міжнародних відносин, журналісти, студенти, аспіранти, представники громадських організацій та всі зацікавлені тематикою заходу. Матеріали учасників буде опубліковано у збірнику конференції. Реєстрація та подання матеріалів тривають до 10 квітня 2026 року.
